The children at VistaField Nursery have welcomed Spring and set up a tadpole aquarium in their room. They have observed frogspawn turn to tiny tadpoles and patiently await their development into frogs. The children will also undertake a caterpillar to Butterfly project this year. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young children to have hands on real experience of nature.
The garden is also waking up and children will be working outside – re building the bug hotel, planting vegetables and organising their mud kitchen. After the break the nursery will be taking on their second Chicken project – incubating chicken eggs and keeping some hatchlings! Then we will have some chickens in the Forest School for the summer months to love and care for.
