facilities at Workington Leisure Centre
We offer a wide range of facilities to cater for everyone. Discover the facilities available below.
Gym
Our superb new gym has over 90 stations of brand new Technogym equipment. There is a full range of cardiovascular, resistance plus our free weights area in a great, fully air conditioned environment!
Our fully qualified instructors are on hand to help you get the most out of your session.
Main Pool
Our superb 25m, 8 lane pool has a wide range of sessions throughout the day and evening for both children and adults. Whatever your ability in the water we have something for everybody to enjoy.
We have a designated Changing Places area for inclusive access which includes a height adjustable changing bench and a hoist.
For the more competitive swimmer Workington Amateur Swim Club train here during the week.
Multi Functional Studios
We have two fabulous new multifunctional studios in the centre. You'll find all of your favourite fitness classes in these great new spaces.
Group cycling is one of our most popular classes - take a look at our fantastic new spin bikes!
Sports Hall
Our new sports hall is a truly stunning facility!
Available from 9am to 10pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. There is no end to the range of activities that can take place here such as badminton, netball, basketball, gymnastics, trampolining and much much more!
Squash Courts
We have two bookable Squash Courts at Workington Leisure Centre.
They are included in our memberships and also available on a pay as you play basis. They can be booked in sessions of 40 minutes, times vary throughout the day so please contact reception for further booking information.
Teaching Pool
Our teaching pool primarily hosts our learn to swim programme. In addition our Parent and Tot and Family Splash sessions take place here.
Our Teaching Pool has a moveable floor ranging from a depth of 0.5m to 1.6m
It's also available to hire for you to have your child's birthday party - great fun for all ages!
3G Pitches
We are delighted to have 3 fabulous outdoor 3G pitches at the new centre.
To book a 3G pitch please use our booking partner PlayFootball. Bookings can be made up to 28 days in advance, Better membership discount can be used at the checkout.
Climbing Wall
Take your first steps into climbing on our stunning 10m wall. Perfect for both children and adults.
Sauna and Steam Room
A great way to unwind after a swim, fitness class or a gym session. Our Sauna and Steam room offers a great way to relax.
