The ladies section of a Bath golf club played a tournament in memory of a friend who died from cancer.

Caroline Morris was a member of Entry Hill Golf Club who died in 2013 aged 64 after suffering from pancreatic cancer.

Ever since then, her fellow ladies at the club have held a tournament on the Tuesday nearest to her birthday in her memory and to raise money for Cancer Research.

The golfers played a round on Tuesday (May 3) in good spirits while competing for prizes supplied by ladies golf equipment retailer Miss Designer Golf.

Ladies secretary Ruth Black said: "We welcome new members but think that not many ladies have heard of us. We're aiming to make ourselves better known and encourage other ladies to take up the game."

Golf is included as part of the Better Health and Fitness Plus Membership. Separate golf memberships are also available.
