Chesham Leisure Centre is delivering Sportivate funded Box Fit programme

Sportivate is a £56 million Lottery funded that gives more young people the chance to discover a sport that they love. The programme gives 14-25 year-olds who are not particularly sporty access to six-to-eight weeks' of free or subsidised coaching in a range of sports.

Application made to Sportivate to start Box Fit sessions for complete beginners. Funding granted to cover the cost of the coach and new equipment to deliver 2 blocks of six weeks to 20 young people.

Aims of the Course
Sportivate is delivered against a simple national framework but with local flexibility to produce the following outcomes:
• providing a supply of sporting activities that will match as well as generate demand;
• getting more inactive 11-25 year olds regularly participating in sports activities in the community by responding to their needs
• increasing take up in leisure centres
