The Great British Tennis Weekend is back in 2017, and it’s bigger and better than ever before.

Giving children and adults alike the chance to experience the great sport of tennis for free, the Great British Tennis Weekend is a series of nationwide open days happening across Better venues this May 13th and 14th.

Here at Barnet Burnt Oak Leisure Centre, we are delighted to announce that we will be hosting our very own Great British Tennis Weekend event on Sunday 14th May.

During the weekend there will be lots of fun activities, games and competitions for all ages and levels. Taster sessions and drop in sessions will be available as well as refreshments and prizes.

You don’t need a tennis racket – equipment will be provided – so just bring yourself and lots of energy ready to have a smashing time.

“Once again we are delighted to take part in the Lawn Tennis Association's hugely successful Great British Tennis Weekend. These events, which run nationally across a range of our tennis venues and sports facilities offer an opportunity for anyone to come along and pick up a racket and have a go playing tennis for free,” Barry Cawte, National Tennis Manager for Better.

Whether you are completely new to tennis, want to introduce your child to the sport or rediscovering your love for the game, we have something for you and would love to see you at our event.

There will also be a host of readily available information on how you can continue with your journey in tennis at Rainbow Leisure Centre after the event, whether you are interested in 1to1 coaching, mini tennis for your child, social drop in sessions or just how to book a court and play.
