Our fully equipped, air-conditioned gym offers a range of fitness equipment for
everyone. Our members can choose from cardiovascular machines such as
treadmills and rowers, resistance equipment including free weights and dedicated
stretching areas and fitness aids such as Swiss balls.
For a fitness programme tailored to your needs, just ask a Better fitness instructor
and they'll be happy to put together a workout to suit you.
Before using the gym you'll need to complete an induction, so our fitness
instructors can check you are well enough to train. As well this gives you the
opportunity to get advice about other activities the centre may offer which could
help you achieve your fitness goals.
Re-focus sessions are available to you at any time, where our fitness instructors
will mix up your fitness programme. Did you know that keeping your workout more
varied and challenging will actually keep you much fitter?
Our purpose built gymnasium is home to a wide range of gymnastics disciplines and classes. Here we provide sessions for General Gymnastics, Pre-School Gymnastics, Women’s Artistic Squads, Men’s Artistic Squads, Rhythmic Squads, Acro Squads, Tumbling Squads and Trampoline sessions, as well as parent and toddler sessions (Toddler’s World). We also host schools and private bookings.
Apparatus available to participants includes: full sized sprung floor; beams; training vault; vaulting table; A-bars, high bars; pommel horses, rings, foam pit, rope and a variety of training equipment. We also have two full sized trampolines as well as carpet and equipment specifically for our Rhythmic sessions.
Sports Activity Courses
In partnership with many national governing bodies, our sports activity courses
deliver high quality, comprehensive teaching for all ages and abilities. These
enable you to develop skills in their chosen activity from beginner to advanced.
Aside from the physical benefits of participating, you'll also learn valuable life

To vary your workout why not try a group exercise class? We offer a range of
classes - from beginners to advanced level - in a fun and sociable environment.

The Group Exercise Studio
We have one main group exercise studio for group exercise, which is large and
bright with mirrored walls. Currently 11 classes a week are available.
The Sports Hall is a multi-sport arena featuring 5 badminton courts, 1 football
court, and 1 basketball court.
A fun-filled, soft 'n' squidgy environment with innovative play sessions to
challenge and stimulate children between the ages of 6 months to under 5 years.
Parental supervision required.
We offer a wide range of affordable birthday party packages for kids
under 16 years old - from soft play to climbing. We also do all the prep and tidying up, so you can just relax and enjoy the day!
Climbing is fantastic fun and the perfect way to get an all-round workout. If you
have never climbed before, we can take you from your first step off the ground
through to climbing on real rock. We've a range of activities to suit everyone
regardless of your age or fitness.
To get started, try our ROCKSTART taster session, where an experienced instructor
will show you the ropes of this exciting sport.
Want to learn how to climb independently? Our Beginner's course teaches you all
the basic skills to use the ropes at any indoor climbing wall. We can take up to 6
adults on one course so you'll get to meet others starting out too.
Climb London is a network of climbing walls in central London, providing a
fantastic range of new activities for novice climbers - whatever your age,
experience or fitness.
Our personal trainers provide exercise programmes for all areas of general fitness, and are there to give you all the motivation and support you need to achieve your goals.
Your trainer will design a progressive training workout just for you. They'll select the appropriate loads, reps, sets and sequence of exercises, ensuring your time is best spent, giving much better results than if you were training alone. They'll also offer nutritional and lifestyle advice.
Workouts will be challenging, educational yet fun, and hopefully you'll find the experience has a positive effect on your whole life!
All Better personal trainers have REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals) level 3 qualifications or equivalent, which is the required national standard.
