Our fully equipped, air-conditioned gym offers a range of fitness equipment for everyone. You can choose from cardiovascular machines such as treadmills and rowers, resistance equipment including free weights and dedicated stretching areas and fitness aids such as Swiss balls.
For a fitness programme tailored to your needs, just ask a Better fitness instructor and they'll be happy to put together a workout to suit you.
Before using the gym you'll need to complete an induction, so our fitness instructors can check you are well enough to train. As well this gives you the opportunity to get advice about other activities the centre may offer which could help you achieve your fitness goals.
Re-focus sessions are available to you at any time, where our fitness instructors will mix up your fitness programme. Did you know that keeping your workout more varied and challenging will actually keep you much fitter.
To vary your workout why not try a group exercise class? We offer a range of classes - from beginners to advanced level - in a fun and sociable environment.

We have one main group exercise studio for group exercise, which is large and bright with mirrored walls. Over 40 classes a week are available, ranging from Aerobiking to Yoga.
We also provide specialist equipment for the latest classes such as Power Pump, Boxfit and Cardio Blast.
The Willes pool is 30.5 metres long, with 5 lanes. There are slow, medium and fast lanes to cater for all swimming speeds and styles. The pool ranges from 1.2 to 3 metres in depth.
During a recently completed rennovation the features have been lovingly restored to their former glory. Marvel at the architecture whilst taking a dip in one of London's most historic swimming baths!
The Grafton is a multi-use pool catering for a variety of activities each week. The pool is 25 metres in length and is 0.9 metres shallow at both ends. The middle of the pool is 1.5 metres deep.
Timetabled sessions in the pool include:
* Swim for Women
* Camden Swiss Cottage Swimming Club (coached sessions)
* Swimming lessons
* Water Workout (group exercise in the water).
The small pool is 0.6 to 0.9 metres in depth. Its natural light and ambient temperature make it an ideal environment to introduce babies and toddlers to the water.
Located at the entrance to the Fitness Centre, the Aerobiking Suite offers several high tempo group cycling classes each week, guaranteed to get the heart pumping and those calories burning.
Our personal trainers provide exercise programmes for all areas of general fitness, and are there to give you all the motivation and support you need to achieve your goals.
Your trainer will design a progressive training workout just for you. They'll select the appropriate loads, reps, sets and sequence of exercises, ensuring your time is best spent, giving much better results than if you were training alone. They'll also offer nutritional and lifestyle advice.
Workouts will be challenging, educational yet fun, and hopefully you'll find the experience has a positive effect on your whole life!
All Better personal trainers have REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals) level 3 qualifications or equivalent, which is the required national standard.
