Lincoln Central Library is delighted to be welcoming back Dr Erik Grigg who will be hosting an afternoon talk about the Domesday Book on Saturday the 8th of July from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.
Dr Grigg is a medieval historian who has written books and articles about many different aspects of medieval history.
The Domesday Book is the most important land survey in medieval Europe and arguably the most important medieval source. It gives a fascinating insight into eleventh Century England.
The talk will put the book in context giving the background to the survey. It will also look into what it can tell us about Lincoln and Lincolnshire, teasing out some interesting insights.
Tickets cost £2.00 including light refreshments.
