Better took over the management of libraries in Lincolnshire on 1st April. During the first week, a Reading Garden was developed in Lincoln Central Library. The area to the side of the library has been developed as an attractive garden in which customers can sit, read, and relax. The wireless signal reaches into the garden, allowing customers to sit outside and use their laptops in the warmer weather. The Reading Garden will also be used for a variety of children’s activities including Teddy Bear Picnics and Storytime’s. The Reading Garden events for the next few months are detailed below:
Saturday 28th May, 10.00am – 3.00pm. For ages 0-12yrs.

Wednesday 1st June, 10.30am – 12.00pm. All ages welcome.
Join us for Storytime in our Reading Garden
Help plant sunflowers and have fun listening to stories and messy crafts.
Saturday 2nd July, 10.30am - 12.30pm. All ages welcome.
Where is the Very Hungry Caterpillar? Can you spot him in the reading garden? How many butterflies can you find?
Follow the trail and make some Very Hungry Caterpillar bunting to decorate the reading Garden.

Celebrate 150 years of Peter rabbit with our Beatrix Potter Family Fun Day
Can you find Peter Rabbit and his friend hiding in the Reading Garden? Crafts and stories all day.
Friday 5th August and Saturday 20th August, 12.00pm – 2.00pm.
Teddy Bears Picnic in the Reading Garden
Bring a picnic and your favourite teddy and spend time in the garden at Lincoln Central Library. Teddy Crafts from 12.00pm. Stories & rhymes for children and their teddies from 1.00pm.
