Staff from two local Hillingdon leisure centres, Highgrove Pool & Fitness Centre and Queensmead Sports Centre are inviting members and local residents to join them in an attempt to break the World Record for the longest roller skating conga line.
The record attempt will take place on Saturday 19th March at 1:30pm in Warrender Park, Eastcote. The current conga record stands at a line of 197 people and was established in Miami Beach, Florida in 2012. So the Hillingdon attempt will mean that everyone really needs to get their skates on!
The initiative is one of many being instigated by Better who manage both leisure centres, in order to support Sport Relief 2016 through sponsorship and fundraising. Better, who are the official partner of Sport Relief 2016, have committed to raising a staggering £500,000 for the charity this year across the 250 leisure facilities it manages throughout the UK.
Anyone interested in getting involved and fancy strapping a pair of skates on, please note your interest with a name and contact number at any Better leisure centre within Hillingdon. No previous skating experience is needed.
