Better, Kendal Leisure Centre's Zumba instructor Diane Knowles is undertaking a coast to coast triathlon to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK. On 1st September she will cycle 115 miles from Whitby to Windermere and on 2nd September swim 1 mile from Windermere to Lakeside and then run 26 miles from Lakeside to Walney.

The 'Where there's a Will there's a way' coast to coast triathlon was organised by Sam and Sue Taylor who's son Will was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in 2014. Diane teaches Will to swim so when we asked her about her descision to get involved she said "I wanted to take part in this challenge as it's a cause close to my heart"

In order to support Diane with her fundraising on Monday 21st August at 11am and Thursday 24th August at 9am there will be no charge for Di's Zumba classes but donations will be collected for Muscular Dystrophy UK. Participants are encourage to wear orange and Diane says "Be as orange as you like!"
