Congratulations go to our male gymnasts from Hendon Gymnastics Club for their medal winning performances last month.
This years London Men's Open Championships took place at Redbridge Leisure Centre and is one of the biggest gymnastics competitions in the country.
The men’s only competition, which has seen the likes of Team GB’s Max Whitlock compete and win the coveted all-around title three times, began in the early 1900’s and remains one of the longest running British competitions.
The gymnastics team from Hendon Leisure Centre travelled there, eager and with high hopes after months of demanding training.
After a long day of high level competition, which saw the athletes competing on six pieces of apparatus, including; pommel horse, rings, vault, high bar, floor and parallel bars. Team Hendon managed to come away with four medals: one gold, two silvers and one bronze,
A huge well done and congratulations to all the gymnasts who took part from Hendon!
