Delta Tennis Centre in Swindon has been awarded the Disability Programme Award winner in Wiltshire for its leading disability tennis programme.

Chosen on behalf of Wiltshire LTA, the Lawn Tennis Association and Aegon, Delta was selected from a strong field across the county and is now in contention as part of a regional shortlist to be named the winner for the South West region.

Delta currently offers three disability sessions and one active life session per week, catering for up to 52 people on a weekly basis.

Delta Tennis Centre Tennis Manager, Andrew Sutherland commented: “I’m really pleased that Delta Tennis Centre has won the Wiltshire Disability Programme Award 2016 as the staff and coaches have all worked incredibly hard over the year to encourage more people to take part in the sessions. Our coaches have such a great rapport with all participants and I feel this is due to their friendly coaching style that is warm and welcoming to all who are involved. Tennis is such a great sport for everyone as its fun, social and competitive while being a great fitness sport as well.”
