We're making the changing rooms better
Great news!
We are delighted to announce that starting on Monday 24th June 2019 GLL and Allerdale Borough Council will be investing a much needed £45,000 upgrade to the changing village at Keswick Leisure Pool. The works will be completed in advance of the busy summer season.
Work to be completed will include:
- New Flooring
- New Ceilings
- Upgraded LED lighting
- Improved Shower Area
- Refurbished Male Female and Disabled Toilet Areas
We anticipate that the work will be completed in around three weeks and the pool will be subject to an amended timetable but there may be some short term closures and times when bather load will need to be reduced.
As a temporary measure we will be constructing a smaller changing village on poolside to enable customers to use the pool as normal but because of work to showers we will not be able to offer showering facilities at the centre. This also means there will be no baby changing & disabled cubicles due to limited space. The swimming experience should not be affected in any way.
We are more than happy for customers to check the temporary arrangements before committing to a swim if they wish – in the event of a busy session customers may also have to wait slightly longer for a cubicle and we may need to monitor admission numbers too.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but promise it will be worth the wait.
