About the Pavilion

Built in 1910, Bath Pavilion is an impressive Edwardian period building, constructed in sandstone, typical of most of Bath’s architecture. Its vast internal proportions offer a unique and versatile space to suit all types of formal and informal events.

The auditorium is the largest indoor flat floor space in Bath and North East Somerset. The maximum capacity of the venue is 1,400 standing, 420 for a dinner dance, 350 for a classroom or 683sqm as an exhibition space.

In addition, there is a newly-refurbished lounge area hosting a permanent bar, audio system and three large screens.

The Pavilion Café holds six tables seating 36 and can be used as an extension to the kitchen or for small meetings, a cloakroom or greenroom. The kitchen is fully equipped including an electric oven, bain-marie, dishwasher and fridge freezer. There are four small changing rooms along with a production office/first aid room.

The Pavilion is managed by Better, which operates under the charitable social enterprise GLL. Established in 1993, Better is now the largest operator of leisure facilities in the UK with more than 140 separate venues on its books, each with their own distinct character.
