As the summer evenings draw in, we’re celebrating the success of the Women’s Summer Series racing at Odd Down Sports Ground. 64 women raced over eleven rounds in a highly competitive field and riders came from as far afield as Aberystwyth (West), Exeter/Poole (South), Aldershot (East) and Beverley (North). VeloVitesse’s Charlotte Berry took the overall win with a huge 500 points. The podium spots were fiercely fought all the way to the line between Avid Sports Lauren Johnston and Aimee Parsons.

Categories E1/2/3 grew in participation this year with many 4th category riders moving to this competition field from 2017. This leaves us with a great opportunity to grow the series as we head in to the winter, introducing beginner riders to the racing world. Races are run in association with British Cycling, where riders build their points to qualify for the next category.
