Making Headway at Better Llanishen
On Thursday 21st February, Better Llanishen was proud to welcome members (and carers) of the Headway Group.
Headway is a Cardiff based charity that does fantastic work to allow individuals with serious brain injuries to live as varied and fulfilling a life as possible.
Better Llanishen was delighted to facilitate this by offering a structured session for the Group in the recently refurbished gym – and also in the Toning Suite which is a somewhat unique provision not mirrored anywhere else in South Wales.
The Carers commented that everyone had had a very enjoyable experience – with the mechanical assistance and support provided by the Toning Suite Machines being of particular interest and benefit. Indeed Carers were delighted to see that some of the individuals who had never trained outside of their wheel chairs before – felt safe and willing to do this in the Toning Suite.
Further visits are now being arranged – and Better Llanishen is extremely grateful that Headway will now be endorsing the facilities to all of its patrons – and to similar user/support groups.
