HORTON PHARMACY PROVIDES FREE HEALTH CHECKS TO CLUB MEMBERS
On Wednesday 2nd February Rainbow Leisure Centre and Spa joined forces with local NHS Horton Pharmacy to provide health checks for gym and Club Rainbow members for the over 60’s age group. This opportunity was well received by those in attendance who felt reassured that their health was improving by getting back into a healthy routine whilst returning to taking part in activities at the centre.
The centre has successful launched a new Club Rainbow social area in January, where they have seen membership and participation levels increase to a promising level with numbers seen prior to the pandemic. The designated area specifically caters for the over 60’s age group, so members feel comfortable to resume their pre-pandemic routines. All over 60’s activities are led by the Rainbow Club Lead, Alison McDowell and include dance aerobics, easy line circuits, strength and conditioning and falls prevention. The centre also offers a wide range of other sports including Walking Netball, Club Badminton, Club Short Tennis, Club short mat bowls and table tennis.
