Tennis courts in Croydon are now managed and operated by Better (GLL) as part of a new 20 year partnership with Croydon Council.

Better is investing over £130,000 into the tennis courts in Croydon which will include the development of 3 key tennis hubs; Addiscombe Recreation Ground, Ashburton Hall & Park and Biggin Wood. This will provide high quality courts to develop and enhance the tennis experience in Croydon. Bookings will be introduced from 21st July and notice of charges will be released shortly to ensure the sustainability of these courts and the new programmes which are to be introduced. Concessionary pricing will also be available to ensure inclusivity for all.

The remaining 14 parks will see £40,000 worth of additional investment and will remain free for the public to use; a booking system will also be introduced to guarantee court availability.

Bookings for all courts will launch on Saturday 21st July. To register and to book courts please visit better.org.uk/book. If you are an existing member you will be able to link your account to book activities, if you are new to Better you will be able to register online.

As part of our enhanced offer to Croydon parks a new program of tennis activity is in development and will launch with the Great British Tennis Weekend on 21st July, this is a free event and open to the whole family. There are also summer courses for children, for more information please visit www.better.org.uk/croydontennis
