Dormers Wells Leisure Centre will be holding free coached Badminton sessions for kids and adults on the 25th November, in partnership with Badminton England and MacMillan Cancer Support.

Last year over 330 clubs, leisure centres, universities, schools and colleges got involved to help raise over £26,000.  This year, Dormers Wells Leisure Centre will be aiming to beat last year’s fundraising total by opening its doors on the 25th November.

During the day, a series of free badminton sessions run by a qualified coach will be available for both adults and children.

The session will be organised as follows:

Juniors (5 - 10 years):  4 – 5pm

Teens (11 – 15 years): 5 – 6pm

Adults (from 16+): 7 – 9pm

All donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support.

The centre will provide all the equipment; including racquets and shuttlecocks and there will also be a competition on the day where juniors get the chance to win a free one month membership*.

Better Community Sport Manager, Maximilian Goodchild said, “Being a badminton enthusiast myself, I’m very excited to be working in partnership with Badminton England and MacMillan Cancer Support, to offer these sessions for such a great cause, and helping more people get more active in the local community. I encourage anyone to come down, regardless of age or ability to take part, donate, and enjoy this fulfilled day.”
