The UK’s largest charitable social enterprise leisure provider, GLL, is making its 270 Better Leisure Centres, pools and gyms free to access for NHS, Emergency Services and UK Armed Forces personnel over the festive period.

From 21 December to until 5 January, workers showing a valid ID will receive a warm welcome for their work-out, swim or sauna.

The initiative builds on the not-for-profit leisure operator’s previous support for Navy, Army and Air Force personnel during Armed Forces Day.

GLL CEO Mark Sesnan said:

“Christmas is a time for giving and we are getting into the spirit of the season by making our Better leisure centres across the country FREE for our hardworking emergency services, NHS staff and Armed Forces.

“Our frontline services are vital to keeping us safe and secure and relied upon by communities up and down the country.  Better Leisure Centres are at the heart of local communities and we are proud to welcome these worthy workers into our local venues over the holidays, to say ‘thank you!’ for looking after us all year round.”
