Hammersmith Community Gardens Association (HCGA) is a local environmental charity, who manage four community gardens across Hammersmith and Fulham.  HCGA provide a range of projects for local residents, including gardening training schemes, volunteer sessions, health and wellbeing activities, and green education in local schools. They promote environmental sustainability within the borough, maximising sites for multi-use whilst encouraging wildlife growth.

The crowd-funding project has been created in response to the aging building, originally constructed in the 1960s, and has been backed by many local residents and Hammersmith and Fulham Council. Once complete, the glasshouse will have heating and power, enabling more activities from workshops and meetings to concerts and fitness activities, all to run in the glasshouse and gardens.

Better were able to provide £1,500 to the project through their Community Foundation and HCGA have also received a grant from the Mayor of London. If you would like to support the project on the final stretch to reach the fundraising target, or find out more information, please visit their funding page via the link below.
