Once you become proficient on the ice you can then progress on to our advanced dance and free skating awards. You could also try different activities on ice such as figure skating, speed skating and ice hockey. Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre is home to various Ice clubs. These clubs can be attended when you have completed NISA Skate UK levels 1-8.
Streatham Dance Club
The Dance Club meets every Thursday from 8.00 to 9.00 pm. They are a friendly group with a wide range of ages (minimum 16) and abilities. All they ask is that you have a reasonable level of skating ability, for example you have taken part in the group lessons and have attained Skate UK Level 8.
If you are unsure if Ice Dance is for you feel free to join one of the sessions as a taster. Club members would be happy to help you though some of the dances and you might even enjoy it!
Streatham Figure Club
Figure Club takes to the rink every Friday from 6.15 to 7.15pm. It caters for those who have completed the NISA Skate UK courses and want to develop their free-skating skills including spins and jumps.
It exists alongside the rink's 'patch' sessions for individual development, but adds a group/club dimension. Spin/jump/spiral competitions are held periodically on club ice-time, plus occasional competitions of individual or group programmes.
Streatham Supremes (Edge Class)
Streatham Supreme Skaters meet every Saturday 5.30 to 6.30am.
ISPA Ice Skating Sessions
