New Swim Doctor lessons in New Year

WHAT IS SWIM DOCTOR?

Swim Doctor is Better’s adult swimming programme for all your swimming needs. Whether you want to learn to swim, improve your technique or fitness or train for an event, our Swim Doctors will help you make the most of your time in the pool in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Sessions are free of charge to Better Health UK Members and there is a minimal charge of £3 for any other monthly or annual members. Alternatively, you can Pay As You Go for £10 per session. Bookable via the Better App, head to Book Swimming at your chosen centre to select your session.

WHICH SWIM DOCTOR SESSION SHOULD I BOOK?

Swim Doctor group class - learn

An adult swimming class for learners and improvers. Whether you are getting in for the first time or refreshing and improving your swimming skills, come and learn with our resident Swim Doctor. This class is on Mondays at 6.45pm  and 6.00pm on Tuesday both in the Main Pool.

Swim Doctor group class – train

An adult swimming fitness class focused on fitness and technique. Whether you are training for an event or wanting to improve your technique and fitness, come and train with our resident Swim Doctor. This class is on Mondays at 6.45pm in the Main Pool.

 Swim Doctor Women's only group class - learn

An womens only adult swimming class for learners and improvers. this is the same as our normal Swim Doctor but is a female only class which is held at 7.30pm Mondays in the Secondary pool. 

Also starting ...

Foundation (9years and over)

We also offer specific Foundation classes for children 9 years and older starting on Mondays at 6.15pm-6.45pm.

Previously known as:
Stage 1, 2, 3 (Wave 1, 2, 3 in Cardiff)

What do they learn?
Teaching pupils the essential swimming skills to ensure they learn to be safe in and around water. Learning the basic techniques for all 4 strokes, achieving 10 metres on Front Crawl and Backstroke by the end of their Green milestones.

Ability groups 
Red, Amber and Green
