At Better in Tower Hamlets, everyone's welcome to join our wide range of fitness and sports activities. As well as supporting Sport England's brilliant This Girl Can campaigns, we also run sessions to help women to be more active.

You'll find sessions specifically aimed at women and girls under the 'For The Girls' programme across our facilities in Tower Hamlets. Get active and have fun in a comfortable environment. So bring it to Better to become happier, healthier and more active.

Run exclusively for women by women, our 'For the Girls' community programme is for all abilities and ages. You can embrace a healthy lifestyle and be motivated by like minded women and girls. Each centre runs a variety of daytime and evening sessions, activities and skills training so there is sure to be something to suit you.

Activities range from swimming, whereby we now have sessions catered to both women and girls at a range of times across all four pools within the borough. The program also includes access to one of our dedicated women only gyms as well as a varied array of fitness classes that are suited to all abilities. If you are looking for a more sports based activity we offer basketball, badminton and walking netball as well as many others which are all catered specifically for women and coached by women.

Most of our 'For the Girls' sessions will be sports and activities based. From fitness classes to swimming sessions, please wear clothing appropriate for the activity such as sports clothing and swimming costumes. Don't forget to bring a towel, swimming goggles and swim hat (if taking a dip) and sports shoes such as trainers for fitness classes. Bring a water bottle to fill up with water and keep you hydrated during your session.

All sessions are bookable via the app or website. For more information on getting involved, speak to a member of our team or to view our latest programme of activities and ways to book please click the link below:
