Browse and Borrow offers customers the opportunity to browse a selection of stock and choose books.

Numbers will be managed to allow for social distancing of staff and customers, and to allow for the cleaning of self-service equipment

Before you visit

These sessions are self-service only.

To use Browse and Borrow you need to bring your library card with you and have an active account.

You can check your account online by visiting https://capitadiscovery.co.uk/wandsworth/ or by contacting the library by phone.

You are required to wear a face covering when visiting the library, unless you are in an exempt category.

Please do not visit the library if you have any symptoms of COVID-19.

What to expect when you arrive

You may need to queue outside. If so, please follow social distancing guidelines. Staff will manage your entry to the library.

Please drop off any books for return on entry to the library. Returned books will be taken off your account by staff after a 72 hour quarantine period.

Please use the hand sanitiser provided as you enter the library.

The range of stock will include selections of adult fiction, children’s books and a limited range of popular non-fiction.

You will not have access to the entire library. Please remain in the designated areas.

Don’t forget, if you know what titles you want to borrow, you can reserve these free of charge online or by ringing a library during opening hours.

If you have Library Takeaway items  or reservations to pick up, you can still collect these at the library.

All items should be issued using one of the self service terminals

Bringing children

Children under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult at all times

NHS Test and Trace

When you visit the library you will be asked to provide your library card number in order to comply with the government’s requirements for Test and Trace.
