The Summer Reading Challenge is a nationwide reading scheme for children aged 4 - 11 to take part in throughout the summer holidays. Children are challenged to read 6 books within 8 weeks ending on Saturday 11th September and in return receive free rewards to celebrate their achievement. At the end of the programme they receive a medal and a certificate. The Summer Reading Challenge is supported by national charity The Reading Agency.
