Manchester Juniors win titles at the Lancashire Junior County Squash Championships
The National Squash Centre hosted the Lancashire Junior County Championships on Saturday 3rd July. The tournament was the first official England Squash ranking tournament held in the North West since February 2020. Thirty-four juniors from across the county competed with the Manchester junior squash programme well represented throughout the age groups. Our programme players had a great day with five Lancashire County Champions, four County runners-up and three third-place finishes.
Alongside the excellent results, it was great to see recent additions to our junior squash programme take part in their first-ever squash tournament. Well done to Danny and Faaria from our beginner sessions for finishing 1st and 2nd respectively in the mixed under 9’s.
The National Squash Centre supported the tournament by providing prizes to the finalists with a booking on our interactive squash wall. We now hope to see many of the players be selected to represent their county later this year in the England Squash Inter-County competition.
