As part of our Swim School we feel it’s important to recognise the achievements of our swimmers. Each month we celebrate a swimmer who we feel has been showing great effort and or improvement in their swimming lessons. With 2020 fast approaching we thought we would look back on 2019’s best swimmers and see where they are now!

For January we have Isla Timings, Age 4. “Isla is always smiling throughout her lessons and is always wiling to give everything a go!” Since Jan Isla has nearly completed Stage 3 with Sarah!!

In February we celebrated Evie Price, Age 5. Evie’s teacher said “she is doing really well with her swimming and is really close to passing her Stage 1!” Now Evie has nearly completed Stage 2 – Great work!

March we were impressed by Jacob Cushing, Age 4. “Jacob has shown great improvement when swimming on his front and back. He is always willing to learn and comes to each lesson with a positive attitude.” Since winning Jacob has almost completed stage 3!

In April, Bobby Hedges, Age 8 was the winner! Bobby’s teacher said “Bobby has a great attitude when he comes to his lessons every week.” Bobby has now passed and has just started Stage 3 with Sarah

For May we celebrated Phoebe Smith, Age 10. Phoebe’s teacher says she “shows real commitment and dedication to her swimming. She always gives 110% with a smile on her face!” Since May Phoebe attempted Rookie lifeguarding but has since decided to take a break!

In June we were blown away by Willa Goss, Age 8. “Willa works very hard each week and loves swimming butterfly! She has just passed her Stage 5 so will be moving up to Stage 6 to start swimming lengths.” Now Willa has almost completed stage 6 with Sarah!

In July Henry Hilton, Age 5, was our winner for “always trying his best and having a great positive attitude towards swimming. He has made great progress in his backstroke.” Now Henry has nearly completed Stage 2 with Sarah!

For August we had Max Squire, Age 6. “Max works hard to improve his skills. He has built up his confidence and really enjoys his lessons.” Since winning Max has nearly completed Stage 4 with Gill

September we were impressed by Lauren Jarvis, Age 8. Lauren’s teacher said “Lauren has finally mastered her breaststroke. I have been so impressed with all of her hard work and determination It’s great to see it finally pay off.” Lauren is now in Stage 7 with Sarah!

In October we celebrated Francesca Kelly, Age 4, who “recently managed to swim 5m without any help! She tries really hard in her lessons each week and has been practicing on Sundays when she comes for a swim with the rest of her family!” Since winning Francesca has nearly completed Stage 1 with Lisa!

November we were impressed by Stefan Brown, Age 9. “Stefan has improved enormously recently, He listens well in his lessons and because of his willingness to learn he has recently passed his Stage 6.” Stefan continues to make progress in Stage 7 and is still keen and willing!

And finally in December Alexa Wright, Age 8, was our swimmer of the month. Alexa’s teacher nominated her for “recently mastering her breaststroke after several months of struggling to bring the whole stroke together. Her dedication to perfecting the stroke has been really impressive.”

 

We are proud of every child in our swim school and the efforts they put in to learning this amazing skill. Our Swimmer’s of the month represent a selection of our best students and we look forward to seeing how they get on with their swimming in the future!

Our Swim School has now stopped for the holidays from 20/12/2019 – 04/01/2020. We’re excited to welcome everyone back in 2020 – watch this space to find out who wins swimmer of the month January 2020!
