National Fitness Day is celebrated on Wednesday 26th September as a chance to highlight the role that physical activity plays across the UK. Sport helps us to lead healthy and active lifestyles and we want you to join us in making it the most active day of the year.

Many of us find getting fit a struggle – we’re too busy, too tired, or have other commitments – and National Fitness Day is here to highlight the simple and easy steps you can make to become more physically active and enjoy it along the way!

To help you be more active, on National Fitness Day we are offering you the chance to try free events at The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre:

  • Free gym usage - All day, during centre opening hours, subject to a health questionnaire and blood pressure check
  • Free health walk - Meet in the foyer at 10:45, the walk is around 3 miles long and we will return to the centre at approximately 12:00.
  • Free multi-sport session – Between 13:00 – 15:00 in the sports hall, try your hand at badminton, bowls, and much more. Refreshments available.

We will also be offering health checks and encouraging you to test how healthy your heart is with Public Health England's test.

We look forward to seeing you there!
