The Great Row for Cancer Research UK was a physical and mental challenge for 2 staff members at Ulverston Leisure Centre this March.
Active Communities Co-ordinator Hannah Paling and Health and Fitness Lead Clare Tonkin rowed a total of 43km each - the equivalent of a marathon distance - over the course of the month.
Inspired by their challenge, friends, family and members of the centre generously donated £1655 in total to spur them on to the finish line and to support the crucial work of Cancer Research UK to find a cure for cancer sooner.
Better are proud to support Cancer Research UK - keep your eyes peeled for details of upcoming events that you can get involved with too, such as Football Shirt Friday on 27th April.
