Ulverston Walking Netball team win the Cumbria Tournament

5 teams competed in the Cumbria festival at Kirkby Lonsdale last Saturday.

Each team played each other once with 14 minute games, the team with the most points at the end were crown the winners.

Remarkably Ulverston won all 4 games scoring a total of 36 goals and conceding 7.

Ulverston Sunflowers only started playing together at the leisure centre in October , it seems as though they have been playing together for years.

However, the festival wasnt just about winning it was about playing different teams and meeting other ladies from across the county.

The ladies meet up at 2pm every Tuesday at the Tnenis Centre.
