We teamed up with St Marys Hospice once again to host the start of the Walk to Remember, seeing over 700 people take part in the annual event.

With every passing year the Walk To Remember, organised by Ulverston's St Mary's Hospice, seems to grow in size and significance.

Perhaps attracting its largest group of participants to date hundreds of people set off from the centre chasing the sunset on the 10 miles to Barrow.

The night provided the opportunities for families to reunited with the staff of St Mary's who tirelessly work every day of the year to make the final stages of a person's life as comfortable as possible.

Walkers set off from Ulverston Leisure Centre at 8pm, ready to walk through the evening until reaching the finish line at Hawcoat Park, in Barrow.

Hannah Palings say "We hope to be part of this amazing event next year, its great to get so many peope down at the centre and be involved with St Marys Hospice- such an important charity"
