Well what a 24 Hours we had on Saturday 10th November & Sunday 11th November for our 24 Hour Touch Tennis marathon for Children In Need! Now the dust has settled, we are delighted to report that we have raised a total of £307! With this likely to rise to over £400, with sponsorship money yet to come in.

This event really did highlight the truly amazing community we have here at the Telford Tennis Centre and we thank you all so much for coming along and showing your support for such a great cause. Over the course of the event, over 90 people attended with over 188 hours in total being played!

It was fantastic to see so many people from across the spectrum of our community attend over the course of the 24 hour Touch Tennis event. The fact we set up further mini courts as the day progressed to accommodate the high numbers, is testament to how much of a success the event was!

A very special mention has to go to our own Ian Murphy and a regular member of our community Richard Langton, who stayed the course and made it through the entire 24 hours!! This is such a brilliant achievement and we thank you both from the bottom of our hearts, for going out of your way to do this and support the event in the best way possible. A massive thank you also goes to our coaches Tim Calver and Sam Chapman, who went through the night to support the event!

We must also give a massive shout out to Jake Beardsmore, who completed a total of 12.5 hours and has so far raised over £100! Jake is one of our brightest young talents here at Telford, his attitude and commitment is a delight to see and we thank you very much for putting such a top effort in! Special thanks to Reece Greenwood also, who has raised £60!

We are also delighted that BBC Radio Shropshire attended, it was brilliant welcoming the guys to our centre for the morning and we're very pleased they enjoyed themselves, even taking part in a BBC Radio Shropshire grudge Tennis match! Such support is so important to help spread the word about our amazing Tennis community here.

Further thanks go to Ian Murphy (our Duty Manager), for putting the whole event together. Without Ian none of this would be been able to take place and he really did put his heart and sole into the event, ensuring it was the best it could be. Thank you Ian!

Finally, we would like to thank each and every one of you who attended, donated, or both! Without your support, such events would not be possible and we cannot thank you enough for coming along and donating. You are the jewel in our crown here at Telford Tennis Centre and we could not be prouder of what we have all achieved!
