The play park on the north side of Stanborough Park remains closed as construction work progresses on Splashlands.
There has been good progress so far, with lots of the earthworks and foundations being installed over recent months. The weather has not been ideal, but the council's contractor - Ground Control - is bringing forward other pieces of the jigsaw to keep the works on programme.
As we head into spring, the council will focus on building up the base for the splashpad, re-profiling the play areas and installing the new kiosk and changing pods.
Splashlands remains on track to open in the Summer of this year, coinciding with Welwyn Garden City's centenary year. Entrance to the splash park will be free.
