About the Physical Activity Inclusion Fund

The Physical Activity Inclusion Fund is a local initiative designed to support the creation of new opportunities that promote physical health and wellbeing within the Newham community. Funding is available for clubs, charities and organisations to develop projects and initiatives that encourage participation in sports and physical activities or enhance mental health and wellbeing.

Applications for the Newham Physical Activity Inclusion Fund are now open.

Please note that the online application form must be completed in one session, as it cannot be saved and returned to later. If you would prefer to prepare your responses in advance, you can download the application template using the link below and then copy your answers into the online form when you're ready to submit.

Applications close on Sunday 16th August. Please ensure your completed application is submitted before the deadline.

How much can I apply for?

You can apply for up to £5000 per application.

How will we be paid?

Payment will be made via BACS. 

How long will I have to wait for an answer to my application?

We endeavour to get back to applicants within 8 weeks. 

Once successful, how long will I wait until I receive my payment?

It can take up to two weeks to transfer funds. 

What if my club/organisation is not based in Newham?

We will only fund organisations/clubs based in Newham. 

Can schools apply for funding?

Unfortunately schools are not eligible. 

How many times can I apply?

If your application is successful you may apply for more funding if the project is different and the timelines do not overlap.

If your application is unsuccessful you may apply again in the next phase of funding. 

What won’t PAIF fund?

The fund won’t pay for salaries or ongoing running costs or statutory service on costs. PAIF will not continually fund Clubs/Organisations to deliver the same project/scheme year after year. Clubs/Organisations will need to demonstrate that they are working toward self sufficiency or alternative methods of funding when applying for repeat funding.
