We are looking for local people to join our Cumbrian Boards
To ensure we deliver outstanding leisure services across Copeland and South Lakes we engage a Local Board in each of our partnership areas. These Boards are made up of people committed to improving services and opportunities for local people.
We are looking to increase the capacity of our Local Boards with people who either live or work locally and are passionate about improving the lives of people in their community. If you have experience and skills in areas such as health/wellbeing, business, education and community development we would love to hear from you.
We would like all sections of the community to apply. If travel is an issue please discuss this with us. As a board member we provide expenses for travel costs to and from meetings along with other engagements.
Board meetings are normally held quarterly although we would like board members to become involved in some of the many events and activities we host throughout the year.
These are voluntary positions for people with enthusiasm and commitment to work with local partners and staff to improve and develop valued local leisure services, within a social enterprise framework.
As a board member you will play an integral part in shaping the facilities and services we operate in within your local area. If you would like to make a difference, we would love to hear from you.
Greenwich Leisure Ltd (GLL) has been operating for over 25 years. GLL, operates under the brand “Better”, is a non-profit charitable Social Enterprise organisation which runs over 250 sport and leisure facilities and libraries on behalf of local authorities across the UK.
