• The offer is funded by Manchester City Council and is available to Manchester residents only, aged 11 to 16 at sign up date. The offer is available from 24th May 2026 until withdrawn.
• This offer entitles those eligible, to a funded Better Health Partnership Junior membership, for 12 months.
• Proof of residency must be shown in the form of a Council Tax bill payable to Manchester City Council or a Utility Bill dated within the last 3 months.

• Better Swim School pupils agree to these terms and conditions to be eligible for the Better Swim School Guarantee.
• Eligibility for the Better Swim School Guarantee requires the Better Swim School pupil attending and completing a minimum of 75 Better Swim School programmed lessons within a two-year period before turning ten (10) years old.
• Circumstances beyond our control at the leisure centre, such as service disruptions or teacher illness, will not be considered as non-attendance during the two-year period before turning ten (10) years old.
• Only swimming lessons directly provided by Better Swim School, including holiday short courses, are eligible as Better Swim School programmed lessons. Swimming lessons conducted through school programmes or other providers will not be considered as Better Swim School programmed lessons.
• At ten (10) years old, a Better Swim School pupil's eligibility for the Better Swim School Guarantee will be determined by a Better Swim School swim teacher based on the participant's demonstrated swimming proficiency, aligned to the National Curriculum for physical education programs of study in England. This includes the ability to:
  • Swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
  • Use a range of strokes effectively, (for example, front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke)
  • Perform safe self-rescue in various water-based situations
• The Better Swim School pupil must be enrolled in programmed lessons at the time of the swimming proficiency assessment.
• If a Better Swim School pupil does not meet the National Curriculum standards for swimming by ten (10) years old, Better Swim School will provide additional swimming lessons for free until the standards are met.
• Additional swimming lessons are subject to availability and programming and the Better Swim School swim team will coordinate with the parent/guardian of the pupil to attend additional swimming lesson days and times.
• If required, appropriate accommodations will be made to ensure inclusive access to the Better Swim School Guarantee for pupils with special needs.
• Better Swim School reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the Better Swim School Guarantee or any terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

Annual Memberships

All our annual memberships are priced at a discount and cover 12 months from date of purchase.  They may be discounted at checkout depending on partnership and membership type. The cost may also be subject to an additional set up fee. 

16+ UK-Wide Membership

The following activities and centres are excluded from UK-Wide membership

• Spa Experience facilities
• Tennis Court Bookings at any of our centres or facilities
• Racquet sports at any centres in Islington and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
• King's Cross Fitness, and leisure centres and facilities located in Camden (for members that joined before February 2025).

Student UK-Wide Membership 

The following activities and centres are excluded from Student UK-Wide membership

Offer is £1 Swim for All session before 10am for under 16s. Offer available every day during school holidays; and weekends (Saturday and Sunday) only during term time. Session availability subject to programming and capacity limits. Available at participating GLL operated swimming pools in England and Northern Ireland. Offer not available at outdoor lidos or swimming pools in Cardiff, Barnet, Hackney, Manchester, Merton and Waltham Forest. The offer entitles the recipient to purchase discounted ticket bundles for activities including and limited to Explore Kayaking, Explore Paddleboarding, Water Wipeout, Hydrospeeding and White Water Rafting at Lee Valley White Water Centre only. The discount of up to 20% off the regular activity price is applied automatically at checkout and is not valid on any other products in Lee Valley or Better Leisure Centres. Children aged 4–11 years who complete the Summer Reading Challenge at Lincoln Central Library or Sleaford Library are entitled to one free swim session. The free swim is valid Monday to Friday during Swim for All and Family Fun sessions, subject to programming and availability. Sessions must take place at one of the following centres: Sleaford Leisure Centre, ONENK Leisure Centre, or Yarborough Leisure Centre. A maximum of one voucher may be redeemed per eligible child. Each child must be accompanied by a competent adult swimmer (maximum two children/non-swimmers per adult). Please note that adult swim entry is not included. For adult pricing and session availability, contact jamie.cheevers@gll.org. To redeem, present the original voucher to a member of staff upon arrival. Photocopies will not be accepted. This voucher cannot be resold, transferred, or used in conjunction with any other offer or discount. Offer valid until 30/11/2026.

This offer entitles eligible recipients to one free day pass, allowing access to book gym, swim,  and/or fitness class on Wednesday 15th April 2026 only. The offer is valid at Better leisure centres and gyms, excluding King's Cross Fitness.
