What we are doing to celebrate the 100 year old Lido in Cambridge, and how you can join in too.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Jesus Green Lido this year, we've made plans to throw a series of parties and events throughout the summer months as a way of celebrating its birthday. With a range of activities lined up, including live music performances and swimathons, we have plenty in store for everyone. Keep yourself updated by checking this page for the latest updates on what's happening.
Additionally, we have developed a substantial amount of merchandise for this year, which is now accessible at the Jesus Green Lido shop located at the pool.

Thank you to everyone who attended our centenary events, there are currently not more events this summer being run at the Lido, however the Friends of Jesus Green do have a couple of upcoming events, details of which can be found below:
Friends of Jesus Green Events:
Lido Tea Party - Sunday 17th September 3pm to 5pm
Run by the Friends of Jesus Green Pool the Tea Party is a great way of meeting fellow swimmers and celebrating the centenary year. Bring and share cakes and sweet treats.
There will be a syncronised swimming performance by the Centenary Cygnets at 4pm. The Cygnets previously performed at the Lido's birthday party to great applause.
Felixtowe Trip - Sunday 1st October 11am to 4pm
A day out swimming and enjoying the sights at Felixtowe!
Itinerary:
- Meeting at approx 11am & welcome from the Mayor
- Coffee at the Fludyers Hotel
- Group swim in the sea
- Fish & Chips
- Beach Walk
- Tea & Cakes
- Depart approx 4pm

Open Weekend - Saturday 6th - Monday 8th May
Join us for our traditional open weekend, where swimming is free and we are running coached swimming sessions with our coach Colin. This weekend is a perfect time to start your membership for the summer.

Swimathon - Sunday 14th May
We are once again hosting Swimathon this year at the Lido! This is a great way to challenge yourself while raising money for charity. You can sign up on the Swimathon website until 1pm on the 9th of May, there are individual and team events available. There will be two sessions run at the Lido, one at 9am and the next at 3pm. The pool will be closed to the public from 9am.
June Events:
Nothing Great Is Easy - Saturday 10th June
Get ready to be inspired by Chris Hudson's one-man play, Nothing Great is Easy: The Story of the First Channel Swimmer. Join us at the Lido on June 10th at 8pm to witness the incredible true story of the first person to swim across the English Channel. Don't miss out on this unforgettable performance!
- Nothing Great Is Easy begins at 8pm and is a 1 hour performance. Refresments are available from the Café.
Summer Solstice - Wednesday 21st June
We're excited to announce that on June 21st, we will be open from 5am to 10pm so you can soak up every moment of the longest day of the year. Take a dip at sunrise or enjoy a refreshing swim under the stars - the choice is yours!
And as if that's not enough, we'll also have a local band playing music in the evening to keep the party going.

Get ready for an unforgettable swimming challenge at the Lido! Teams of four people will race against each other to see who can complete the most laps from sunset to sunrise. This exciting event is perfect for fitness enthusiasts and thrill-seekers alike.

Enjoy a varity of fitness classes including water workout, HIIT, Zumba, yoga with our fitness instructors; Fabio, Steph, Colin and Gabriela.

Cassie Patten Swim Masterclass - Sunday 16th July
We're thrilled to announce that Olympic swimmer Cassie Patten, will be joining us at the Lido for an exclusive swimming masterclass and Q&A!
At our upcoming masterclass, Cassie will be sharing her top tips for swimmers looking to improve their technique, speed, and endurance. With years of experience in competitive swimming, Cassie knows what it takes to succeed in the pool and is excited to share her knowledge with our community.
After the masterclass, Cassie will be hosting a Q&A session where you'll have the opportunity to ask her all your burning questions about her career, training, and what it takes to become a world-class swimmer.
