Better Leisure Centres in Cardiff are celebrating their success in applying for a 10K grant from the National Lottery Community Fund.
The grant will support the Fit and Fed programme across the city in its Better branded centres.
We are so grateful for this award from the National Lottery Community Fund, made possible thanks to money raised National Lottery players. This award will make an incredible difference to our work and those who rely upon it within our community.
Rhys Jones, Head of Service said:” The Fit and Fed programme will give families really happy holidays – thanks to the Lottery. These programmes bring together the best that Better can offer – and have a positive effect on out city’s young people and families.
" One of our goals is to help increase participation in physical activity, so its really important to be working in partnership with a programme that continues to look after the health and well-being of our children and young people during the school holidays, as well as providing some much needed fun."
The Fit & Fed Programme is a holiday provision for children aged 8-15 years. Children will have lunch provided every day, with lots of sporting activities taking place to make friends, have fun and keep them active.

Eastern Leisure Centre Wednesday 2nd & Friday 4th November
Fairwater Leisure Centre Tuesday 1st November
STAR Hub Tuesday 1st & Thursday 3rd November
Western Leisure Centre Wednesday 2nd November & Thursday 3rd November
To book your space a registration form needs to be collected, completed and returned to the centre. We value commitment at our leisure centres so please remember to only get booked in if you are going to turn up!
