Charlton Lido & Lifestyle Club has achieved Quest – Excellent!

We are very pleased to share with you that Charlton Lido & Lifestyle Club has been awarded the prestigious ‘Excellent’ status by Quest, the UK’s quality scheme for Sport and Leisure. Quest describes scoring excellent as “meeting or overachieving all criteria and the service could not be faulted.”

The award not only recognises the consistently high-quality services delivered by the club team and the top-class facilities on offer to customers at the club, it also acknowledges the additional efforts by Better and Charlton Lido & Lifestyle Club to engage the community and improve individuals health and wellbeing through fun, varied and inclusive activities.

The Quest assessor was particularly impressed by the clubs commitment to the Customer Journey and Environmental Management which highlighted the recent installation of electricity generating Solar Panels at Charlton Lido and Lifestyle Club.

A total of 84 Solar panels have been installed across 3 roof areas totalling a maximum peak generation of 39kW, the panels will generate 40,000kWh of electricity each year and providing the facility with zero carbon renewable electricity and reducing its annual electricity consumption by 20%.

Quest has been running for over 20 years and is recognised and supported by Sport England as the recommended Continuous Improvement Tool for leisure facilities and sports development teams. Quest assessors look at a range of factors including operational management and approaches to engaging with customers on-site and through to community outcomes. The assessment compromises of an in depth on-site assessment along a mystery visit, The overall assessment process ensures a thorough review takes place and provides assurances as well as ensuring quality service is being provided to members and visitors.
