Join us for the UK’s biggest celebration of health and fitness, National Fitness Day!

This year we celebrate National Fitness Day on Wednesday 20th September 2023, come down and celebrate with us at Waterfront Leisure Centre.

 

The most active day of the year, held annually, this day is for uniting people from all walks of life for their love of fitness and healthier lifestyles.

Fitness gives us mental strength as well as physical strength; it can make you happier, improve your sleep, and help you switch off, connect with other people, raise your energy levels and increase your productivity. Let’s talk about the hidden benefits of physical activity and take time to invest in our health. #YourHealthIsYourLife

 

Start the day off and put your pedal to the floor with an energising Group Cycle class with Gary at 9.30am – 10.15am.

Fancy ditching the workout…and joining the party! Give a Zumba class a go, at 10.30am – 11.30am our fun and funky instructor Taniqua will be get you moving and grooving, working up a sweat to some Latin beats.

 

If swimming is more your thing, why not get some lengths in in our Fitness Pool, 3pm -7pm.

 

With Gym Challenges and competitions throughout the day with goodie bags up for grabs, we will also have complimentary healthy snacks to keep you fuelled up for your classes.

 

Our Healthwise team will be on hand to give you your free health assessment and nutritional advice. 

Then finish off the day strong in a motivating and supportive atmosphere, in our Strength and Conditioning class with Iquo 7.15pm -8.15pm.

National Fitness Day is just one step in a bigger journey but we look forward to having you share that step with us!
