Milena is one of our fitness class instructors for Body conditioning, Power pump and also Pilates classes!  

A strong core is the key to a strong body! Our Pilates classes aim to help improve our core stability, overall flexibility and help reduce back pain. Whether you've got any injuries or simply want to improve your balance and more this is the class to be in! From over 600 different types of exercises and variations that make up the Pilates class, our instructor Milena is always delivering a high quality session made to help improve your wellbeing as it is aimed at improving your strength and function especially in the deep muscles within your body. These are also known as our stabilisers, which help protect our joints and when strengthened can help reduce risk of injuries and pain.

Most people usually associate this type of class as mainly suitable for women and that is incorrect! This can benefit both males and females alike as it is shown to enhance sports performance, a great example being the premiership football teams are currently using Pilates methods to prevent injuries and improve their performance. Over time, this has shown to reduce the frequency of injuries sustained whilst performing, improving power and function and helping correct any muscular imbalances and posture.

Pilates aims to:

  • Provide you with relaxation and improve our wellbeing
  • Support and strengthen our spine for safe sport, strength training or day-to-day tasks
  • Improve posture
  • Retrain our bodies to have a correct body alignment
  • Provide rehab for injuries sustained (ie: back pain, joint pain, muscle tightness etc)

You can find Milena teaching her classes every Tuesday from 10:30am - 12:40pm and Thursday from 10:20am - 12:30pm
