Pickleball was invented in 1965 by three fathers from Bainbridge Island, Washington in America to help entertain their children.

Pickleball has nothing to do with pickles. It is claimed that the name “Pickleball” came from inventor’s family dog, whose name was Pickles.

The sport’s popularity all around the world led to the creation of the International Federation of Pickleball, helping to regulate the sport in countries like the US, Canada, France, Great Britain and Spain.

There are more than 3 million players in US with a 10% increase every year.

Former professional tennis players such as Andre Agassi are keen Pickleball players.
