We are incredibly excited to announce that the trampoline and play park will be receiving a major upgrade in summer/autumn 2023, with new interactive and multi-level features. This will include a massive 4-tier 'Strike Challenge' zone and a giant inflatable in the trampoline park, a brand new under 2’s area in the play park, as well as much needed extra soft play spectator seating on the ground floor.

We are very happy to share the plans with you and hope that you will be impressed with what is coming. Please click below to see our development webpage which details all the changes you can expect and images of how the park will look once completed:

Trampoline & Play Park Development

Timeline

Works will commence from 29th August and are scheduled to be completed within 5 weeks. We expect to reopen to the public in early October.

Trampoline Park - REOPENING SATURDAY 7TH OCTOBER

The vast majority of works will take place within the trampoline park, where the new strike challenge and inflatable zones will be located. As a result, the trampoline park will be closed to the public for the duration of the works.

Soft Play - NOW REOPEN

It is important to note that although we have reopened the soft play quickly the upgrade in this area is not fully completed yet. This is because the upgrade is split into 2 stages. The first stage involved a full closure of the play park whilst we relocated the existing projector and removed the existing under 2's area. This stage has now been completed.

The second stage of works will involve the construction of the new under 2's area beneath the treehouse - note this element can be completed without the play park needing to be closed again. We expect the new under 2's area will be finished by early October.

FAQ's

Why are you making these changes?

The trampoline and play park is now 5 years old and we feel that it is the right time to refresh, invest and upgrade the facilities to ensure local families can continue to receive a high quality offer. Without investment the facilities risk becoming outdated and losing their popularity.

We have listened to customer feedback and the improvements that are being made reflect the comments and requests that have been received from centre users.

What will be the disruption and how long will the facilities be closed for?

Works will be required to remove a number of trampoline beds from the main court as well as the assault course in order to create the necessary space to install the new features. Whilst contractors will manufacture most elements off site some elements including the frame structure for the new strike arena will be built on site which will result in some noise and some minor disruption whilst parts are delivered and removed.

We are working with the contractors on a strict and safe schedule of works which minimises customer disruption. We expect the trampoline park will need to be closed for approximately 5 weeks and we estimate the play park will need to be closed for one week in order to complete the necessary works.

I have a birthday party booked when the works are scheduled. Will my party be cancelled?

Soft play parties will be able to continue throughout the period of works. If you have a trampoline park party that is affected we will have already been in contact with you to discuss alternative arrangements.

How noisy will the works be?

Our contractors our highly experienced specialists and will endeavour to keep the noise and disruption to a minimum. For safety reasons there will be a period of closure required whilst the new features are installed and we there will be some noise as a result of the construction of the new features. We apologise in advance if there is disruption during your visit as a result of this, but we are confident that the end result will be worth it.

Will Strike Challenge be sold as a separate ticket?

No, Strike will form part of the trampoline park so your trampoline park ticket will automatically get you access to this area within your existing session.

Will I need new trampoline socks?

In line with changing national governing body guidance all trampoline socks need to be updated to comply with new standards regarding grip. Therefore new trampoline socks will be required for everyone who enters the trampoline park, including the new inflatable and strike challenge zones.

However we will be operating a free 'trade in' scheme for the first month after opening. This means all trampoline park visitors can bring in their old Better branded trampoline socks and exchange them for a brand new pair, free of charge!

Will you host birthday parties in the Strike Challenge zone?

Yes, our trampoline park parties will fully incorporate use of the Strike Challenge once we reopen. We will also be able to arrange for exclusive hires, corporate functions, team building days and private events.

Will prices change?

The price of both a trampoline park ticket and under 2’s soft play ticket will increase slightly as a result of the increased number, size and quality of features resulting from this significant investment which we believe will offer customers even better value for money. As a not for profit social enterprise we are committed to providing high quality facilities at great value and our products will be extremely competitively priced against other comparable facilities. Also please note the over 2’s soft play ticket price will not be increasing as a result of these works.

Will the timetable change and will any sessions be removed as a result of the works?

The timetable will be growing with additional sessions, but there are no plans to remove any existing sessions. New session times will be advertised on our website and app.
