At Gosforth leisure centre we have two swimming pools. Our main pool is 25 meters long, 6 lanes wide and 0.9 meters deep – 3.5 meters deep. This pool is used for swim for fitness (lane swim) and swim for all (lane swim available with open area) this pool also gets used for water workout / deep water workout classes and adult / junior swimming lessons. We also have a teaching pool. This pool is 12.5 meters X 7.3 meters and 0.75 meters deep. This pool is used for swim for all and adult / junior / baby swimming lessons. This pool is kept a few degrees warmer than the main pool.

We have made some big changes to the gym with new decor, strecth area/weights matting and new state-of-the-art Technogym cardio equipment. Our newly refurbished, fully equipped, air-conditioned gym at Gosforth Leisure Centre offers a range of fitness equipment for everyone. Our members can choose from cardiovascular machines such as treadmills and rowers, resistance equipment including free weights and dedicated stretching areas and fitness aids such as Swiss balls.

For a fitness programme tailored to your needs, just ask a Better fitness instructor and they'll be happy to put together a workout to suit you.

Come and unwind in the relaxed atmosphere of our sauna - the perfect place to chillout. These treatments can assist with increasing blood flow, weight loss, cleansing, relieving stress and helping to relax body and mind. Luxurious showers, changing rooms and lockers are all provided.
