I'm not receiving coaching notifications?

Steps to check:

  • Do you have push notifications enabled on your phone (solutions below if not)? Turn on if not
  • Do you have notifications enabled on the Habit Coach message centre? Turn on if not
  • Do you have anything set up which you are expecting to be reminded about - e.g. a live Habit or a live Experiment? Each of these can have its own notification switches, so check whether these are activated (under your habit settings and experiment settings)

If you have  iPhone (iOS), please follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and tap “Notifications.”
  3. You’ll see a list of all your apps. Scroll to find the app you want to enable notifications for and tap it.
  4. Toggle “Allow Notifications” to ON (green).
  5. Choose how you want notifications to appear (Lock Screen, Notification Center, Banners).
  6. Also make sure Sounds, Badges, and Banner Style are set the way you prefer.

If you have an Android device, please follow these steps (Exact steps may vary slightly depending on the device and Android version, but this is the standard path.):  

  1. Open your device’s Settings app.
  2. Tap “Notifications.”
  3. Tap “App settings” or “App notifications.”
  4. Under “Most recent,” you’ll see apps that recently sent notifications.
    1. To show all apps, open the drop-down menu and select “All apps.”
    2. Find and tap the app you want to manage.
  5. Turn “Allow notifications” ON.  
  6. (Optional) Customise notification categories such as alerts, sounds, pop-ups, and lock-screen behaviour.
