When will Newcastle City Baths open under Better?

Newcastle City Baths will officially open under Better on 1 July 2026.

Bookings and Memberships

Bookings are now available online through the Better UK website and the Better UK app.

Customers can also browse and join Better memberships online, making it easy to get started before the centre opens under Better management.

Facilities at Newcastle City Baths

Newcastle City Baths offers a wide range of health, fitness and wellbeing facilities, including:

• Swimming Pool
• Gym
• Fitness Classes
• Spa Facilities
• Turkish Baths

Spa Experience and Turkish Baths

The Turkish Baths will continue to be available and will become more closely aligned with Spa Experience, Better's premium spa brand.

Bookings for Turkish Bath experiences will be managed through the Spa Experience website and the Wilfred booking system. Further information will be shared as these arrangements are introduced.

Swimming Lessons

A limited adult swimming programme is currently available.

We're working towards introducing junior swimming lessons and will provide further updates as soon as these become available.

Information for Existing Members

If you're an existing member, you'll receive direct communication about your membership and any changes relating to your Direct Debit arrangements.
