NETBALL AT DORCAN

Playing netball is a great way to have fun and stay healthy, whatever your age or level of ability.  Dorcan is one of the few places in the country to have a Netball Dome.

Swindon District Netball Association (SDNA) offer a number of different sessions to suit all ages and abilities.

WALKING NETBALL

Walking Netball has been designed so that anyone can play, regardless of age or fitness level.

From those who have dropped out of the sport they love due to injury, to those who believed they had hung up their netball trainers many years ago. Walking Netball really is for everyone.

It can give those who feel isolated an outlet, provide an activity for those who do not deem themselves fit enough to run anymore and offer a stepping stone for those looking for a pathway back into netball.

It’s also for people who have never played before. Whoever you are, there is a place for you within Walking Netball

Walking netball sessions at Dorcan on:

Tuesday 7:00pm

NETBALL NOW

Netball Now is flexible, energetic and relaxed.

It is a simple and comfortable way to play netball. Netball Now is not a coached session or a competition led by regulations and scores recorded. It is simply a session where you turn up, pay a small fee and play netball!

There will be time for you to warm up before you hit the court, then during the session you will be able to try various playing positions and, in some cases, even have a go at umpiring. At the end of the session we will also give you time to cool down to prevent any aches and pains from kicking in.

It is important that you know and appreciate there is no coaching at these sessions. If you do want to be coached, you might want to try your local club or a Back to Netball session.

Netball Now takes place on Monday at 7:00pm.

COMPETITIVE MATCHES

SDNA run 4 adult divisions and 4 junior leagues (Under 11, 12, 13 and 14) in association with England Netball. All adult competitive matches are played at Dorcan on Saturdays, throughout the season and also an adult competitive summer league. Junior matches are played on Sunday morning, also in our netball dome.

There is also a competitive over 35 league at Dorcan. Games take place on a Thursday night.
