50km Ultra Marathon!

Last week Game On sports thearapy's Natalie completed the Sutton ultra marathon with help from a big group of some of our amazing members!

The Marathon consisted of 2 x 5K loops and 4 x 10K loops all of which started and finished outside Better gym Mere Green, where various different groups could come in at different points in the day to join in a loop or a few to help get Nat across the line, with her and Eleri completing all 50KM throught the day.

As well as the run iself it was acompanied by cake sales inside and outside the gym, a pizza truck that was donating delicious pizza to the runners as well as selling to the public and a raffle which was drew at the end of the day, it really made for an exciting day where both the girls could go and run while enjoying every step of the way!

Everything made from the day went towards Nat and Eleri's 12 Challenges in 12 months, this being the 8th challenge they have completed, which is supporting Prostate Cancer UK and Sarcoma UK, these are 2 charities that are very close to both of them, so they know they are making a massive difference to the things that matter!

It was amazing to see all the support given to the girls not only in the way of participants, which they had plenty, but even the amount of people showing up to cheer them on, making and buying cakes from the stalls and making dontions to the amazing causes they're both supporting through this, we really look forward to keeping an eye on the finals few challenges they compete in over the next few months and love to see them both doing it with smiles on their faces!
